The IBC costs the same per litre as the 208-litre drum. What it buys is logistics: one delivery instead of nearly five drums, one fixed draw-off point, no empty drums to dispose of. For a shop that runs heavy machining across several machines — where consumption is higher than in light work because more fluid leaves on hot chips — that is the saving that matters.
The mixing unit runs from it using the IBC adapter with bracket; on a drum it mounts directly. Pallet handling and floor space are assumed — without them, the 208 l drum is the better buy at the same price per litre.
At 8 % this container makes roughly 12,800 litres of working emulsion. Set that against your annual consumption — concentrate ages in the container, and an IBC standing half-full after two years has cost more than it saved.
One point in favour of the large size here: BVR301 is stable in use up to around 150 °dH, against 60 for the rest of the EASYCUT range. Where a central supply feeds several tanks and hardness climbs with every top-up, that reserve is what keeps a batch of concentrate usable to the end rather than to the point where the water beats it.
EASYCUT BVR301: semi-synthetic, boron-free, around 30 % mineral oil, the only coolant in the range with both a lubricity additive and an EP additive — built for heavy machining.
