A canister of BVR301 is worth having for one specific reason: it lets you put the range's strongest fluid on the job that is currently giving you trouble, without changing anything else in the shop. The operation with the short tool life, the surface that will not come right under load, the machine whose sump keeps going off early — 19 litres makes roughly 240 litres of working emulsion at 8 %, enough to run that job properly and judge it.
The second use is topping up. Water evaporates and leaves with hot chips — and in heavy machining it leaves faster — while the concentrate stays behind, so the level falls and the concentration climbs at the same time.
EASYCUT BVR301, the same fluid as in the drum: semi-synthetic, boron-free, around 30 % mineral oil, and the only coolant in the range with both a lubricity additive and an EP additive. Refractometer factor 1.3, corrosion protection to DIN 51360/2 at grade 0 from 5 %, make-up water 5 to 30 °dH, stable in use to around 150 °dH — two and a half times the reserve of the rest of the line. If the heavy job runs better, the 208 l drum costs around 17 % less per litre and the 1022 l IBC suits a central supply.
If the work turns out to be lighter than assumed, the range steps down: PRO302 where aluminium leads, UNI301 for a mixed programme. Concentration is checked with the refractometer — Brix times 1.3.
