The IBC costs the same per litre as the 208-litre drum. What it changes is logistics: one delivery instead of nearly five drums, one fixed draw-off point, no empty drums to dispose of. For an aluminium shop running several machines off one supply, that is the saving worth having — the price per litre is not.
This size is supplied to order, not from stock. Plan the lead time into any changeover, and keep a 19 l canister on the shelf for topping up in between.
At 8 % this container makes roughly 12,800 litres of working emulsion. Set that against your annual consumption: concentrate ages in the container, and an IBC standing half-full after two years has cost more than it saved. If the figure does not clearly fit, the 208 l drum is the better buy at the same price per litre.
The IBC also needs pallet handling and floor space, and the mixing unit requires the IBC adapter with bracket to run from it — on a drum it mounts directly.
